Weeds are harmful in many ways. The damages caused by them are as under Reduction in crop yield weeds with crops for water, nutrients and light. Being hardy and vigorous in growth habit, they grow faster then crops and consume large amount of water and nutrients, thus causing heavy losses in yields.

There are different methods to remove weeds manual removal,weedicides and tilling
Manual removal - in this method weeds are removed manually
weedicides - it is a method were weedicides are sprayed on weeds which stops growth of weeds
tilling- in this way weeds are removed
