Weeds are harmful in various ways like ,:

(1) Weeds compete with plants for water,soil,nutrients,ans space,light.

(2) Weeds utilise all fertilisers or nutreints that farmers had spread for plants.

(3) Weeds roots need more spàce.

(4) When all the things like nutrients, space light etc are taken by weeds then the plants will not grow and die.

There are two ways of removing weeds:

(1). Manually = Sometimes when there not so much weeds then farmers cut them with their roots by their hands.

(2) By spreading chemicals= Farmers use some chemicals calles herbicides or weedicides. They spread it on the weeds .The advantage for using chemicals is that they harm only weeds not the crop plants
