The distributive properties of additionand subtraction can be used to rewrite expressions for a variety of purposes. When you are multiplying a number by a sum, you can add and then multiply.You can also multiply each addend first and then add the products.

When we use distribute property (is)
a(b+c) = (a*b) + (a*c)
and
a(b-c)= (a*c)-(a*c)
u can use either add or subtract based on the questions u get ..or based on Ur convinience to multiply ..
