The magnetic pole produced in iron bar at that end 'where the stroke ends' is always opposite of the stroking pole of the bar magnet. We can even convert an iron nail, a sewing needle or even a razor blade into a magnet by stroking them repeatedly with the same end of a bar magnet in the same direction.
