explain how zero is the additive identity


QGP: When you add 0 to any number, the result is the number itself.
QGP: like: 2+0 = 2, -4+0 = -4

Additive Identity:
For any rational number a/b where b is not equal to zero, 0+a/b = a/b+0 = a/b. Therefore, zero is the identity element for addition in rational number.
