The human eye is an organ which reacts to light and pressure. As a sense organ, the mammalian eye allows vision. Human eyes help to provide a three dimensional, moving image, normally coloured in daylight. Rod and cone cells in the retina allow conscious light perception and vision including color differentiation and the perception of depth. The human eye can differentiate between about 10 million colors[1] and is possibly capable of detecting a single photon.[2]

Our eyes enable us to see. These are very important but delicate organs.Eyes are fixed in the bony shocket of our skull. They are protected by eyelashes.
There is a circular, transparent area as the front part of the eye , called cornea. The colored circle in the eye is called the iris. The black spot you see in the eye is the pupil that allows light to enter the lens.
