Water from the oceans, lakes and other water bodies evaporate and become water vapour due to the heat of the sun. This water vapour rises and forms clouds. The clouds become heavy and fall down as rain. The rain becomes a part of the ground water and flows back into the water bodies. This cycle is called as hydrological cycle.
