Hyperlink ( ctrl + k )
A hyperlink is a piece of text or an image in an electronic document than can connect readers to another portion of the document or a different web page.
To insert a hyperlink, perform following tasks :-
- click insert tab.
- click hyperlink in the links group.
- the insert hyperlink dialog box appears. If you selected text, the word will appear in the text to display: field at the top.
- than click browse for file to choose an existing document file from the particular location.
- Now click OK button. The text or image you selected will now be a hyperlink.
- click over the text or image, linked file will opened automatically.
Bookmark
A bookmark identifies a location or a selection of text that you name and identify for future reference.
You might use a bookmark to identify text that you want to revise at a later. Instead of scrolling through the document to locate the text, you can go to it by using the Bookmark dialog box.
To add a bookmark, perform following tasks :-
- select the text or item to which you want to assign a bookmark, or click where you want to insert a bookmark.
- on the insert tab, in the links group, click bookmark.
- a dialog box of bookmark will be opened.
- now enter your text as a bookmark name and click add button.
note : Bookmark name must begin with a letter and can contain numbers. You can't include spaces in a bookmark name.
