dilute salt solution is high concentration and animal cell is low concentration,if a high concentration is placed outside of the cell membrane, the water will leave the cell to bond with it.the loss of water from this movement cause plant cells to shrink and wilt.... the movement of water to leave an animal cell will cause those cells to shrink and cause dehydration
