Indian National Congress (INC) represents and considers upholding the Constitution of India being a “Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic” as its quintessential act for its existence which precedes any individual, group, or political ideology. This is the soul that empowers the body which is the manifestation in form of a Political Party called as the Indian National Congress (INC),
Whether a Hindu, or a Muslim, or a Christian, or a Brahmin, or a Dalit, or an OBC/SC/ST - when he/she bleeds - there’s practically no difference in the blood. Indian National Congress (INC) puts the upholding the Indian Constitution above any religious belief, caste, creed, sect or the fake definition of whether Islam, Hinduism or Christianity
Facing her biggest defeat in 1977 from Rae Bareli wherein she was defeated by over 50,000 votes, when Indira Gandhi was asked and advised if she would contest from another Lok Sabha constituency (in 1980) since 1980 was the most decisive year in her Political Career rising from the ashes of Defeat; she had once remarked to her childhood friend,
“I have faith in Indian democracy. Congress will rise from the ashes not because of the Symbol that it stood for; but Congress stands for a United, Sovereign, Secular Democracy that binds us all!”.
Under the Indian National Congress (INC), if a staunch Hindu sits in a discussion with a staunch Muslim - both can agree on some points; and agree to disagree on some other. But being a Hindu, I cannot destroy the Muslim person or bleed him in the name of conformity. This is one of the key tenets of Indian Democracy.
I can agree with you. I can agree to disagree with you. But I have no fundamental right(s) to destroy you.
Under the BJP/RSS/VHP/Bajrang Dal rule, there is no “agreeing to disagree”. It believes only in the existence of Hindutva, which is the incorrect form of Hinduism.
Dr. Shashi Tharoor’s new book is out. I implore one and all — whether you are a Hindu, or a Muslim, or a Sikh or a Christian to read it. And understand the basis and quintessential tenets of Hinduism
