Fundamental rights are guaranteed to citizens of India and they safeguard the interests of people
Some of the fundamental rights that are enjoyed by Indian citizens are Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right to speech, Right to practice any religion etc
Similarly, there are certain duties that are expected from Indian citizens for the government
Some of the duties are the citizens have to abide by the constitution and respect its ideals of liberty, equality, unity, justice etc, they have to defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so, has to promote harmony, brotherhood, and has to value and preserve the rich heritage of our culture etc
Rights and duties go hand in hand and hence, are like 2 sides of a coin
For example, as citizens of India, monuments, buildings of rich cultural heritage have to be preserved and should not be damaged on any personal interests of a person or community
As dutiful citizens of India, public property like buses, trains etc should be preserved and not be damaged by anti – social elements
Also for the parents of India, Constitution has made a duty to parents to provide education to children and as per this duty, parents have to send their children to school.

Someone has said correct that rights and duties go hand in hand . We , living in a welfare state have been given many fundamental rights and as we grow up , they just go on increasing . We people use it for us and for a few more others but as our responsibilities increase our duties also increase . To be more vivid I would say that when we are given certain rights to live we are also given certain duties . If we are following the rights and using them we should also at the same time remember our duties . For instance , if we are given the right to drive a vehicle at an age we are also given duties which are important to follow . Like if an accident takes place then its our duty to help the victims of the destiny. So now it's proven that rights and duties go hand in hand .
