An auxin, is a plant growth hormone that helps regulateshoot growth. ... But whensunlight varies, auxin is broken down on the sunnier side of the stem. The higher concentration of auxin on the shady side causes the plant cells on that side to grow more so it bends toward the light.

Plant shoot contains a hormone called AUXIN which is also called growth hormone . During sunlight falling on the shoot of the plant the auxin hormone move to that side which doesn't getting sunlight,and that's why that side of the plant grows faster and bend towards sunlight
