The term Russian Revolution refers to a series of the revolutions that took place in Russia in 1917. The main impact of the revolution on Russia is the following:

Economically the Russian revolution altered the economic structure of Russia. It ended the notion and practice of private property and turned the ownership of all lands by the state. In effect, it gave control of the industries to the workers. There established a centralized economy in Russia.

Socially the impact of the Russian revolution can be seen in the changing status of women. Women after the revolution were provided with more freedom.

Politically, it established a state of the working people as it confirmed the dominion of the majority (i.e. workers) over a minority.

In the context of the World, the Russian revolution marked the decline of imperialism and the rise of socialism. This revolution inspired the people and many countries for independence from the Western colonial nations .
