The size and shape of moon is appeared to be changing everyday. when moon is revolving around earth some part of shadow of earth falls on it. Due to earth's shadow the following part is not seen. only on which sun's light can reach is only seen.

The moon is totally opaque and it does not have any light of its own.
It reflects the sunlight that falls on it, and therefore, the shape and size of the bright side of the moon starts changing everyday gradually.
The intensity of the sunlight that falls on the moon makes the phase of the moon change everyday.
This happens when the moon revolves around the earth.
