Feasibility of designing composites from carbon nano tubes and nano diamond clusters is discussed based on atomistic simulations Depending on nano tube size and morphology, some types of open nano tubes can be chemically connected with different facets of diamond clusters. The geometrical relation between different types of nano tubes and different diamond facets for construction of mechanically stable composites with all bonds saturated is summarized.
