The de-oxygenated blood from the body is carried by the Vena Cava, which is the largest vein in our body,to the left auricle of the heart. From the left auricle through the tricuspid valve, it reaches the left ventricle. From the left ventricle through the pulmonary semilunar valve, blood is carried by the pulmonary artery to the lungs where it is oxygenated. From there, through the pulmonary vein it is brought to the right auricle. From the right auricle through the bicuspid valve, it reaches the right ventricle. From the right ventricle through the aorta, which is the largest artery in our body, blood is transferred to the other body organs.
