Hii!!!!
Your answer is:
The Italian unification was the social and political revolution that united different states of the Italian peninsula into a single state. During the 1830's, Giuseppe Mazzini joined a secret society called Carbonari. He also aimed for the unification of Italy and so developed two secret societies called Young Italy and Young Europe. Initial attempts were made by King Vicktor Emmanuel II but it failed. He finally managed to unify the Italian states by waging a war and got the whole - hearted support of his minister Count Favour. With his support, he forged an alliance with France and defeated the Austrian forces in 1859. Now he also received the support of Giuseppe Garibaldi who formed a group called 'The Red Shirts' and in 1860, led the famous expedition to South Italy and freed the states from the Bourbon rulers in 1861. After the completion of the unification, Vicktor Emmanuel II was crowned as the king of Italy.
