Election commission announces the last date of filling the nomination paper. Different Political parties immediately start selecting candidates for contesting the election

3)scrutiny:The Returning officer scrutinizes the Nomination Paper. He may reject any nomination if the candidate is not qualified for being chosen to fill the seat

4)Publication of list of candidates :The Returning officer publishes the list of contesting candidates.
