Q -- calculate the mass of Sodium Acetate(CH3COONa) required to make 500 ml of 0.375 molar equeous solution. molar mass of Sodium Acetate is 82.0245 gram per mole ​

From the molar concentration u will find the number of moles as following

M = n/V , convert volume in leters by divid 1000

So, n= M×V= 0.375 × 500÷1000

n= 0.1875 mol

Number of moles is the result of dividing the sample mass (Ms) over molar mass (Mwt) of the sodium acetate ,, so

Mass of sodium acetate = n × Mwt

= 0.1875 × 82.0245= 15.38 gm
