"Guru Nanak believed in ""Monism"", which stresses God is one, who created all other things, god is omnipresent and immortal.
He did not believe in the concept of Idol worship, since, he thought Guru is ""Formless"" and said that ""Guru himself is the Guru of humans"".
The place of God in Sikhism is ""Akal"" which means timeless.
""Oneness of god"" is the basic principle of Sikhism.
God cannot take any human form or incarnation or any shape.
God is creator, sustainer, and destroyer, beginning and ending."
