The food chain is basically meant as energy usage required by producer to decomposers  whereas food web is several food chains connected to each others.

EXPLANATION:

FOOD CHAIN:

• It flows in one single path in order of food exploration by various sets of organism.

• The example for food chain is grass is eaten by grasshopper , grasshopper is eaten by frog and frog is eaten by snake .

FOOD WEB:

• The Different species of plant and animals are connected to each other.
• Basically food web connects different food chains and all the tropic levels.
