Resources:Anything that have some utility to satisfy human needs called resources.

Types of resources:

1.Natural Resources

2.Human made Resources

3.Human Resources

Based on origin,natural resources can be divided into:

1.Biotic: these are obtained from living organisms such as plants and animals.

2.Abiotic Resources: these are obtained from non-living organisms and are physical in nature.

Based on availability, resources can be divided into:

1.Renewable these are the resources which can be used year after year.ex.sun,wind etc.

2.Non-Renewable resources:these are the resources can be used only once.ex.coal, petroleum etc.

Based on development,natural resources can be classified as:

Potential :The resources which exists in a region and could be used in future,but are not yet developed.

Actual resources:these are the resources already being utilised by humans.ex. water,petrol,coal etc.

Human made Resources:the resources created by humans with the help of materials already present in the nature .ex.technology etc

Human resources:the quantity as well as the quality of the people to make some new things ,develop and useful for country called human resources.
