Indian National Congress founded in 1985 by Motilal Nehru with idealisation of secularism and helping the poor and depressed ones.
It ruled the country upto 1977 continuously after independence but then started losing its popularity. The party now has split into 2 parts due to some internal problems and is now in an Alliance with UPA(Union Progressive Alliance).
