Explain in the status of Indian agricultural during the British rule?

Indian agriculture remained unaffected during the British rule. Traditional style of farming was in practice all the way upto 1947. In the end of 1800 British realised the potential of Indian agricultural commodities such as Indigo and cotton. This resulted
in growing demand for thesë products and imposition
from Govt side to grow such crops in very large quantities.
