The reservation policy, has been brought by the government, for the group of people who fall under the backward class of the society. This helps them to improve themselves, and come the backward class people can get in the equality, to the people, who are in general category.
There are many people who are deprived of the facilities, that are enjoyed by the general public in the society, then this reservation system, helps those people to come in the society, to enjoy, those things.

Three points government' reservation policy:
- The reservation policy of our country is a process in which around 50% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other backward classes etc. for government jobs, government-run educational institutes etc.
- The policy was developed keeping in mind the untouchability which was very much prevalent in the country.
- Due to the caste system, people belonging to these classes were suppressed in every manner and did not get enough opportunities as the others.
- It was developed to find out the actual need of the reservation policy.
- Because of that, the legal policy of reservation was passed.
