Punishments are not common to me. But I remember a day when I get punished vedy badly although I deserve it. I got late for school and had to do 100 sit-ups in the blazing sun while holding my ears as a punishment. After doing so, the teacher was checking uniforms and found me without an identity card and badge. So, she asked me to stand there in the sun with my hands in the air. After 3 hours she let me go and I went to class in the Maths period and as soon as I kept my bag on my seat, the Maths teacher Miss Arti came to me and said 'Nidhi today show me your homework or get ready for punishment you promised' I remembered that yesterday I was supposed to submit the Maths homework but I did not do it so I told the Miss Arti to give me one day and if I don't do the homework, she can punish me for the whole school day as she likes and I will stay back after school to do homework. Wait! That means I will have to stay punished whole day and do the work. She asked me to leave the class and stand as a murga in the corridors. After 2 hours, she took me with her in the staff room and told me to do 50 sit-ups and later stand holding my ears for the rest of the day. The rest of the day, I was standing in the staff room holding my ears. My whole body was paining but I thought that that is what I deserve for not being punctual and responsible. After my punishment got over, Miss Arti asked me to sit down and have some water and do all my work.
