Inertia and mass are related quantities. As mass increases , inertia also increases.e , g:a car and a bus are moving with same speed or velocity and after the application of brakes at the same time with same acceleration, the car stops first because mass of car is smaller when compared to the bus, so inertia is less in the case of car and inertia is greater in the case of bus.
