Inertia of Rest means that the body will remain in state of Rest unless some external unbalanced Force is applied on it.

Eg A book kept on the table will remain at the same position if no Force acts on it. And when some external Force like picking up of the book is there it's position changes.

2) You sleeping on the bed will continue to sleep unless one of the parent scolds you to wake up. This is inertia of rest
