In intramolecular hydrogen bonding the hydrogen atom and their electronegative atom present in the bonds belong to the same molecule. it is normally shown by Distributed benzene compounds in which the substituents are present at the adjacent positions also called the author positions that's why Ortho-nitrophenol has intramolecular hydrogen bonding while para nitrophenol does not have.
