The bridges classified by IRC, the designed live load shall consist of standard wheeled or tracked vehicles or trains of vehicles. Three classes of loads are normally in practice in Nepal. IRC class A is normally adopted on all roads on which permanent bridges and culverts are constructed. (IRC: 6-2000).
