A pollen grain is partl y germinated microspose representing the mode gemetophyte. It divides by unequal mitotic division and forms. Two cells thus each matter pollen grain in angiosphrems have a generative cell and a vegetative cell. in about of angiospems pollen grains are shed at this 2 celled stage.

However in about 40% flowering plants the generative cell may further divide mitoti cally to give rise two made gametes and pollen grain are shee at this 3 called stage. The place ments of cells within the pollen grain when she 2 celled stage can be visualisedas.
