When the poet, Shirley Toulson, looks at the snapshot then she remembers her mother and how she used to describe the snapshot. She and her mother both were worried by the laboured ease of loss, that they both experienced, her mother lost her childhood and poet lost his mother. After which, she was not having any words to describe her feelings regarding this loss, the silence of her mother and lost of her smile has silenced poet.
