These IUDs are divided into 2 types: copper IUDs (Paragard) and hormonal IUDs (Mirena, Kyleena, Liletta, and Skyla). The Paragard IUD doesn't have hormones. It's wrapped in a tiny bit of copper, and it protects you from pregnancy for up to 12 years.

Answer:

IUD (Intra Uterine Device ) - It is used by couples who wants to delay pregnancy or space out children.

IUD are "T -shaped" devices that are inserted in uterus through vagina by doctors.

Types of IUDs are :-

1. Non-medicated - Includes Lippes loop

2. Copper releasing IUDs - Copper T, copper T7 , Multiload 375

3. Hormone releasing IUDs - Progestasert , LNG - 20

4. Non-medicated IUDs - Works by increasing the phagocytosis with sperms that reach the uterus.

5. Copper-releasing IUDs - Release Cu ions which abstract the assent of the sperm into the Fallopian tube as well as reduce the ability.

6. Hormone releasing IUDs - Make uterus inhaustible for implementation by thickening the cervical mucus which make impossible to the sperm to enter through the cervix .
