According to Jain thought, the basic constituents of reality are souls, matter , motion, rest, space, and time. Space is understood to be infinite in all directions, but not all of space is inhabitable. A finite region of space, usually described as taking the shape of a standing man with arms akimbo, is the only region of space that can contain anything. This is so because it is the only region of space that is pervaded with dharma, the principle of motion The physical world resides in the narrow part of the middle of inhabitable space. The rest of the inhabitable universe may contain gods or other spirits.

jainism has lot of beautiful and scientific concepts. one such concept in Jain Metaphysics is The knowledge of Tatvas . Basically there are nine tatvas which can define the whole Jain Philosophy. These are “Jiva, Ajiva, Punya, Paap, Aastrav, Samvar,Bandh, Nirjara and Moksha.  Each one is too large to explain, so with unlimited internet space available I thought of explaining each in detail. This blog will talk about Punya and Paap Tatva.
