jati pratha is a term in which peoples were divided into four varnas (i)brhamans (ii)kshatriyas(iii)vashiyas and (iv)shudras.

brahamans on top in these varnas and shudras at the last position

the shudras were exploited by the upper castes they were not allowed to take water from public taps and wells .they were not allowed to go in the temples and they were not allowed to live that places where upper caste peoples were lived. they were very exploited by the upper caste peoples.
