J J Thomson conducted a discharge tube experiment in which he would the first fundamental particle of an element that is electron.

According to his observation in electron he proposed a theory on atom and a model .

THEORY:

He said an atom is made up of a positively charged sphere with electrons embedded in it.

MODEL:

He proposed a model with an example called "Plum Pudding Model".

with also an example of Watermelon as the red fleshy part is the positively charged sphere and the seeds as the electrons embedded in it.
