Explain khadin system in Rajasthan

Khadin system is based on the principle of harvesting rainwater on farmland and subsequent use of this water-saturated land for crop production. Its main feature is a very long earthen embankment built across the lower hill slopes lying below gravelly uplands. It is mainly practiced in Rajasthan.

Khadin is a type of water harvesting system practices on the farmlands of Rajasthan where rainfall is very less and water scarcity is at hieght.
It is a traditional indegenous system in which rainwater runoffs are collected and are used in farmless when necessary.
