☆ What is sentence?
= When two or more words conjuct each other and express a relation are called sentence.
☆ For example:—
- King Dasarath ruled in Ayodhya.
- Kripita's father is a doctor.
- What do you want from me?
- Please come here and sit on the chair.
☆ Sometimes, in case of Imperative mood sentence also be form by one word .
For example:— Do. ( You do )
Go. (You go)
☆ This type of sentence the word 'you' is not present but we have to imagine it .

■ Kind of sentence :—
There are five kind of sentences. They are give below–
- Assertive or Statement or Declarative sentence.
- Interrogative sentence.
- Imperative sentence.
- Exclamatory sentence.
- Optative sentence.

1) Assertive sentence:—
Sentence by which we able to explain person, thing, cause, etc. are called Assertive sentence.
Example:
- Mahatma Gandhi is called the father of nation.
- A pen is mightier than a sword.
- The sepoy Mutiny took place in 1857.
2) Imperative sentence:—
When a sentence expresses order, advice, request, etc. then it is a Imperative sentence.
Example:
- Do the sum at once.
- Be respectful to your elders.
- Please open the door.
3) Interrogative sentence:—
When a sentence expresses any question or is a Interrogative sentence. (at the end we have to put a question mark "?")
Example:
- What class do you read in?
- Do you know how to swim?
- Are they happy today?
4) Exclamatory sentence:—
By which sentence we expresses our happiness, sorrow, supriseness, etc. is called Exclamatory sentence.
Example:
- Hurrah, the Indian team has won the match!
- Alas, the lady has lost her purse!
- What a pretty girl she is!
- How intelligent the boy looks!
5) Optative sentence:—
By which sentence we expresses our pardon, wish, doubtness, etc. it is called Optative sentence.
Example:
- May God bless you.
- May the girl pass the examination.
- May God destroy the trailor.
