Kinetic friction is a force which happens two moving surfaces. Both the moving surfaces will experience opposite friction forces from each other. It is also responsible for wear and tear and that’s why we need oil to lubricate machine parts, as it reduces friction. Examples are: (1) Rubbing hands to create heat. (2) Skis sliding against snow.

It is having energy because of motion. The opposing force that comes into play when an object actually moved over the surface of another object.
Kinetic friction is of 2 types :-
- Sliding friction
- Rolling friction
