The two breezes happen along seaside ranges or regions with contiguous substantial water bodies. Water and land have diverse warming capacities. Water sets aside more time to warm up and can hold the warmth longer than area does.

In the day, when the sun is up, the area warms up rapidly and the air above it warms up significantly more than the air over the water. The warm air over the area is less thick and starts to rise. Low weight is made.

The gaseous tension over the water is higher with cool thick air, which moves to possess the space made over the area. The cool air that goes along is known as an ocean breeze.

In the night, the opposite happens. The area rapidly loses its warmth whiles the water holds its glow. This implies the air over the water is hotter, less thick and starts to rise. Low weight is made over the water. Chilly and thick air over the area starts to move to the water surface to supplant the hotter rising air. The cool wind from the area is known as an area breeze.
