Law of conservation of mass was first proposed by Antonie laurent lavoisier(1743-94).It can be stated as "mass is neither be created nor destroyed in a chemical reaction".Some of the examples are-                                       1)If any of the two different types of chemical compounds have been exposed to a chemical reaction the mass of the both chemical compounds would be same before and after a chemical reaction
