According to this law,

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Factors Of different characters assort ( segregate ) independent of each other during gametogenesis ( gamete formation ) and fuse randomly to form next generation."Explanation : New combinations [ Yellow round and green wrinkled ] were produced only if the factors of yellow and round character separated independent ( without influencing ) of each other. Similarly, the factors of green and wrinkled characters are separated during gamete formation. They are rearranged randomly during fertilization and produce new combinations.
