Law of Reflection:
- The normal , The incidence ray and the reflected ray lie on the same plane and at at same point (point of incidence)
- The angle of incidence = The angle of reflection
i.e ∠i=∠r
Experiment to verify Law of Reflection:
Take a sheet and fix it on wooden cardboard. In the middle of paper draw line AB. Try to mark a point at middle of line and name it as C. Then on this point draw a perpendicular . Name the point which is at other side of perpendicular as D. After this make a line CE which is making an angle with perpendicular CD. Now keep a mirror MM' along the line AB. Keep in mind that mirror should be kept such that the polished side pf mirror is along the line AB. Now fix two pins on Line CE . name the first pin as P and other pin as Q.
Look at the image formed in mirror of point. P and Q . Then fix another two pins R and T . Remember the another two pins i.e R and T should be kept such that all points i.e P ,Q , R and T are visible on straight line. Remove all pins P ,Q , R and T and make a mark with pencil where they were kept . Also Remove the mirror. Draw a straight line through points R and T , also jo!n this straight line with point C. And measure angle TCD and angle PCD . You will find that they both are equal
Hence proved!

The law of reflection states that when a ray of light reflects off a surface, the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection
