Explain Le - Chatelier's Principle.

\Large\bf{\underline{\underline{Answer:-}}}

Le - Chatelier's Principle:

It states that if a reaction in equilibrium is subjected to the change of concentration, temperature and pressure, then equilibrium will shift in the direction that tends to undo the change imposed on it.

_______________________________

1. Concentration:

If the concentration of the reactant is increased, then concentration should be decreased. i.e. the reaction moves towards the forward direction. Similarly, if the concentration of product is increased, then the reaction moves towards the backward direction.

2. Temperature:

Exothermic reaction is favoured by the law temperature, while endothermic temperature is favoured by the high temperature.

3. Pressure:

Pressure is directly proportional to the number of the moles at constant volume and temperature.

i.e. PV = nRT

P = n \Large\frac{RT}{V}

(V and T are constant)

\Large\bf{\boxed{P\alpha T}}
