Amplitude:

The maximum displacement of the bob from its mean position is called Amplitude.

Time Period:

The total time taken by the bob to complete its one oscillation is called Time Period.

A pendulum with a longer string has a lower frequency, meaning it swings back and forth less times in a given amount of time than a pendulum with a shorter string length.For small displacements, a pendulum is a simple harmonic oscillator.The only things that affect the period of a simple pendulum are its length and  on the length of the string, the mass of the pendulum bob, and the amplitude of the swing.
