Species in which positively charged or electron deficient atom(usually central atom )having one or more vacant orbital is called Lewis acid
Eg:- H+,Mg+,PCl3
Species in which an atom(usually central atom) is having one or more lone pair donate to other species are known as Lewis base .
Eg:-NH3,PH3
hope it helps

Hey mate, here is your answer :
Through the use of the Lewis definition of acids and bases, chemists are now able to predict a wider variety of acid-base reactions.Lewis' theory used electrons instead of proton transfer and specifically stated that an acid is a species that accepts an electron pair while a basedonates an electron pair.
