Explain Liesel’s life. Describe her passing.
Answers
Answer:
Many years have passed. Death says he's growing tired as he tells the story, so he thinks it wise to finish. He states that the book thief died only yesterday, that she lived a long life in a place far away from Munich and Himmel Street in a suburb of Sydney. Her soul, like her Papa's, sat up when Death came for her, and as she went she thought of her three children, her grandchildren, her husband, and the many loved ones from her past, especially Hans, Rosa, her brother, and Rudy.
Explanation:
Here, Death tells what has become of Liesel so many years after the story of her life on Himmel Street and that she, too, is now dead. Death tells us, though, that her soul was very much like her Papa's, how it rose up to meet him. This is another indicator of how connected Liesel and her Papa were and continue to be even after his death.
