Answer:

Example: if abullet is fired from a gun and the mass of the bullet is m1 and bullet. Is m2 then at first when two of them are still in position then total momentum is m1*0+ m2*0=0 after firing its momentum becomes same thats why its momentum becomes m1v1+m2v2= 0 or,m1v1 =-m2v2 thats why gun goes towards opposite side of bullet

Explanation:

,. Momentum simply means mass in motion or it is the quantity of motion of a moving body. The more momentum a moving object has, the harder it is to stop. The quantitative value of momentum is equal to the product of mass 'm' of an object an its speed 'v'.conservation law. Conservation of linear momentum expresses the fact that a body or system of bodies in motion retains its total momentum, the product of mass and vector velocity, unless an external force is applied to it.Two bodies of mass M and m are moving in opposite directions with the velocities v. If they collide and move together after the collision, we have to find the velocity of the system. Since there is no external force acting on the system of two bodies, momentum will be conserved
