Answer:

Padmasambhava (lit. "He who came into being in a lotus"), also known as Guru Rinpoche, was an 8th-century Buddhist master from the northwest of India. Padmasambhava was invited to Tibet by king Trisong Detsen and founded Tibetan Buddhism together with other invited scholars and masters. Padmasambhava is venerated as the "second Buddha" by the Nyingma school, the oldest buddhist school in Tibet known of as "the ancient ones". He helped construct the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet at Samye, at the behest of Trisong Detsen. Padmasambhava was presented with Yeshe Tsogyal, either the consort or wife of Trisong Detsen, and she became a great master and Buddha in her lifetime after studying with Padmasambhava.

Explanation:

A number of legends have grown around Padmasambhava's life and deeds, and he is also widely venerated as a "second Buddha" by adherents of Tibetan Buddhism in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, the Himalayan states of India, and elsewhere.

In Tibetan Buddhism, Padmasambhava is credited with hiding spiritual lessons, or revelations called terma, which fortunate beings and tertons discover when conditions are ripe for reception. He is also considered an emanation of Amitābha by some practitioners. Padmasambhava is said to appear to tertöns in visionary encounters and is a focus of guru yoga practice, particularly in the Nyingma school. The Nyingma school considers Padmasambhava to be a founder of their tradition.
