Lymph:-

A pale-white fluid that circulates through the lymphatic system is known as Lymph.

Functions of lymph:-

✦It helps in transporting oxygen;hormones & various nutrients to different parts of the body through the lymphatic system.

✦It helps to remove metabolic wastes from the cells.

✦It transports antibodies and lymphocytes to the blood.

✦It keeps body cells moist.

✦It helps to maintain the composition of tissue fluid & volume of the blood.

✦It absorbs fats from small intestine through lymphatic vessels.

✦It prevents incursion of microbes and foreign substances into the lymph nodes.

→✦Lymph is composed of lymph plasma,lymph corpuscles & lymphoid organs.
